All classes are currently taught by Simone Lang:

I have been teaching students of all ages for almost 20 years (eeekk, that’s a long time!). It is clear to me that weekly drumming classes mean different things to different students. There are a dedicated few that want to study hard, remember everything, and excel as a drummer. Most however, come to class to simply enjoy the experience of group drumming. Many students call it their ‘happy place,’ where the rigours of life dissolve and all they need to do is engage with the drum amid a group of like-minded souls.

Primarily, I aim to make the teaching space that I create to be about acceptance and enJOYment. I take from my teacher Mohamed Bangoura: ‘Play for YOU!’.

There are currently no courses running – stay tuned…

These short courses are aimed at beginner to intermediate level drummers, including those with little or no drumming/rhythmic experience. The courses offer you the chance to engage with one West African polyrhythm per course. Each course will begin with an introduction to the fundamentals of hand drumming technique. We will also spend lots of time purely enjoying the experience of playing West African rhythms.

Use your own drum or use one of ours. Bookings essential. For more information contact us.
