When: 1-4pm Sunday 18th March 2012

Details: This will be a big afterrnoon of intensive drumming and is open to players of all levels i.e. from those with no experience to those who consider themselves advanced level drummers. Two sessions will run simultaneously: one tailored for more beginner/intermediate level students and one for more advanced students. For beginners this is a great way for you to increase your understanding of African rhythms and tackle some new tunes and arrangements. For advanced level players we will focus on soloing and do our best to push you to your limits!!!

Cost: $50 (includes complimentary drum hire, & afternoon tea)

Drum Building Workshops: 3rd OR 4th March 2012

Drum building : make your own djembe! Building your own drum is an intensely satisfying process. You may not even be a drummer but just be excited by the idea of creating your very own djembe from start to finish. The process involves sanding and oiling the wooden shell, wrapping the rings, roping up the drum, skinning and tightening/tuning. You may own a drum already and be up for a new one or be starting out on the journey of djembe ownership. Prices start from $350.  This sessions are held in our workshop in Newham, (near Woodend).
