‘A big thank you from the gang at Melbourne City Mission Sibling Program for a fabulous African Drumming Session. The kids had lots of fun on those drums, took some great shots and the session also inspired some to get their own set of drums. It was a large group and you handled them brilliantly, bringing out their musical talents. Even we adults enjoyed it heaps.’ (Melbourne City Mission Sibling Program)
We facilitate African drumming workshops and interactive performances within many areas of our community including:
- the physical (abilities) and mental health sectors
- refugee groups and asylum seekers
- drug and alcohol recovery
- aged care
- women’s groups
- employees working with the above groups.
We aim to be accessible and therefore are flexible with our workshop fees for community groups and not-for-profit organisations. Each year we also do a small number of workshops and performances pro- rata in service to the community.
