About the Training/Mentoring
There are two sessions included as a package. The first one is a group session, then a follow up private one which is all about me giving you some specific guidance.
Session 1 - Group Workshop: 3-4hrs, max. 4 participants, via Zoom
In this session I will run through the fundamentals of drum circle facilitation taking into account the focus groups each person aims to work with. I will tailor the content to the needs of the attendees.
By the end of the session you will:
- Know how to connect and engage with a group through drumming and rhythm
- Understand your role as a facilitator
- Know the tools you need for you to do your job confidently
- Be able to deliver up to 3 session plans
- Know how to make your own session plans from a few simple rhythms
- Be equipped with some rhythm exercise and drumming/rhythm games
I will also be adding support videos to my drumwithSimone.com site. As part of the course, you get a month's free membership.
Session 2 - Private Mentoring Session: up to 30mins via Zoom mentoring session (after you have completed session 1)
This is a private zoom or phone chat (whichever you prefer) which is ideally run before or after a drumming session that you run. It may just be a simple follow-up to session 1 to help you digest and better understand the task at hand for your particular needs.
We can chat at the end of the first session about booking in your mentoring.
Cost
The total cost for the course is $450 which includes the online group session, follow-up mentoring, and a month's free access to drumwithsimone.com (if you are not already a member). This will include access to exclusive content designed to support you in your facilitation role.

Online Classes & Courses
Saturdays via Zoom - Intermediate level classes
These classes are a really great way to deepen your learning and are almost as good as the real thing! Class sizes are small so you get the same level of tuition as if you were in a classroom setting. Each course/class-block focuses on one traditional rhythm and arrangement. Classes are recorded and emailed to you as soon as possible after the class is complete so if you can’t make it at the allocated time, you can watch/study anytime you like. It also means you can re-do the classes at your own speed as many times as you like during the week.
9:30am - 10:30am: DJEMBE, $30
10:45am - 11:45am: DUNS, $30
