African Drumming for Primary and High School Students
Simone has spent many years engaging with students of all ages through the magic of African drumming. From those first starting out in their first year of primary school to those who are nearing the end of high school, school groups love to drum.
We provide many different types of sessions including:
Weekly classes for small groups/classes of students
Interactive one-off workshops for small groups or whole schools
School Holiday and OSHC programs
Specialised 5-8 week ensemble courses with a performance outcome for a concert or event
Artist in residence (long or short term)
In-service staff workshops.

Drumming Workshops for Pre-schools & Kinders
Our African drumming workshops for early learners are focused on learning through fun and music play. Over our many years of working with young children, Simone has refined her teaching style to make her one of the best in the business.
Our sessions are focused on:
Concentration and listening skills: we read the room on this and change it up as much as possible to keep all eyes on us.
Body awareness and coordination: stretching/warm-ups, dancing, drumming with hands sticks, using shakers and other instruments.
Connection: all-in, group music-making connects us, no matter how young or old we are.
Learning: we spend as much time as possible talking about the cultural importance and history of the music and drums we play.
Engagement, excitement, individual expression, and group stuff; this is learning through joyful interaction and we love being a part of this.
